The Outdoor Therapist.
"For me walking is not my favourite thing to do but I can't believe how much walking with Rachel helped me. Being outside, surrounded by nature, especially the trees, made me feel happy, noticing the changes in my surroundings helped lift my depression and I was able to enjoy life again."
Corona Virus update: In these difficult and strange days, nature can represent a secure base that provides great comfort.
By following the social distancing rules it is possible to talk outdoors again. You set the pace, we can find a quiet spot to sit, we can meander or walk; talking through life's struggles as we go. During summer I also offer early morning and evening sessions.
I specialise in anxiety, depression, grief and change.
I can help you find peace of mind by working through your anxiety or low mood.
I can support you through your bereavement so you can find joy in life again.
If you feel stuck I can help you discover what you need to move forward.
Together we can unravel worries, find fresh perspective and gain clarity.
If you prefer, I am also trained to offer on-line and telephone Counselling. I incorporate the natural world within our sessions through reflective thoughts and mindfulness. When speaking on-line or on the phone it is important you are in a space that feels safe, comfortable and private. This can be an inside or outside space, some clients like to walk whilst we talk.
"When things feel out of control,
focus on what you love right under your nose."
